A slimmed down, reinforced mid top with a bit of extra style and class. With the reinforced upper and molded sole, I'll admit that they're definitely a bit stiff right out of the box. However, it's my own personal preference to go with a stiffer shoe that'll soften up over time, 'cause it just seems as though softer shoes wind up becoming something more akin to a worthless noodle shortly following the break in period (or would it be more appropriate to call it the break down period when it comes to such shoes). Then again, maybe that's preference for those outside myself. Who am I to say.
Digressions aside, the bottom line is, if your looking for a well designed, fashionable skate shoe, you may want to consider the Stage 4 from Vans.
